So we tied the knot, took the plunge, latched on the ol' ball and chain, and said lovely vows about our mutual love and respect of our dogs and swimming. So what is left...
WELL DON'T FORGET about our crazy BETTER-LATE-THAN-NEVER-RECEPTION-BASH-HOT-SPRINGS-ADVENTURE in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, the weekend of Dec 14-16, 2018. Reception itself is still set for 3 p.m. til we fall over and pass out on December 15th!

People are saying rooms are already getting tight, so book now!!!! If T or C books up completely (it's a wonderful but tiny town!) some other nearby places are Caballo Lake (RV/camping), Elephant Butte (RV/some hotels), Socorro (great bird watching and lots of hotels) or even the famous-for-its-fantastic-green-chile Hatch, NM (the best green chile burgers in the WORLD!!!)
For people flying in... It is actually closer to fly to El Paso than Albuquerque, but often Albuquerque flights are cheaper.

RECEPTION INFORMATION:
Our reception will be 3 p.m. until it gets cold on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at the Firewater Lodge in Truth or Consequences (TorC), New Mexico. Paige and Darin will be there from Dec. 14-16! We invite everyone to join for the day or the weekend.
TorC can book up quickly with 95% of rooms filled all Dec. so best to book ahead.
Blackstone Hotsprings has partnered with us to offer our guests: 1 hr Lux Private Wet Room Pass with a guest room booked ($35 value). Just mention our wedding when you book!

Friday 12/14/18:
2:00 PM Firewater Lodgers can Check In
4:00 PM Come help set up lights and decorations at the Firewater Lodge Courtyard
5:15 PM Meet at the Firewater and we will be going to one or several of the three restaurants within one block of the Firewater Lodge.
8:00 PM MOVIE NIGHT at the Firewater! Bring your own chair, blanket, and snacks/beer/wine!
Saturday 12/15/18
9:00 to Noon Firewater setup and danishes
Noon to 3:00 PM Go do some hotsprings!!!!! That is what Darin and Paige will be doing!
3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Dinner is served and the official reception happens! Cake cutting at 5:00-ish!
6:00 PM to Darin throws you out of the Firewater for being too drunk - Dance, Drink, Snack, Repeat

9-11:00 AM Cleanup!! All hands on deck please!!!!
11:00 AM Firewater Checkout!

The Weather Outside if Frightful... ok so not really. Ten day forecast has high around 55 and low around freezing for our reception on Dec. 15 reception. It is outside, but with a fire hopefully. Bundle up, bring your swim suit, and pack a couple of lawn chairs as our chair rental in TorC never materialized!

Visited a bee keeper in the mountains near Ostrog Monastery. Got honey and his children's book. He was an Arch Bishop in Podgrica. Amazing experience. Now in the mountains near Black Lake in a cabin with Kate, Josh, and the Peaches... Check Darin's Instagram... So amazing.

So after nearly a month of updates about all the awesome things Paige is doing *Darin grumbles under his breath in a jealous rage "darn Paige being awesome and beautiful... grumble grumble expletive deleted*. Darin wanted to share the spotlight so Paige let him *after grumbles*. This is him and the greatest living Supreme Court Justice RBG.
As Darin travels to meet Paige in Spain and then they fly together on to Croatia. Expect more updates here and on our social media! But probably not until Sunday or Monday American time as Paige is taking finals tomorrow and Darin is in the air!
We miss everyone already - some more than others... you know who... Ders!... and can't wait to share our adventures with you the only ways we can - online (see our main page for more info) and live in December (again our main honeyfund page has the details!)

Paige went to Sevilla today! Visited the famous sites from the river harbor to the Cathedral Santa Maria to the Metropol Parasol seen above. Paige made it back to visit the Prado. Then the lines were crazy long so she spent an hour or more waiting outside and seeing the beautiful sights around it. She did eventually make it in, but of course - No Photo Allowed. Check out instagram (https://www.instagram.com/darin.mcdougall/) for renditions of the likely art seen inside. Well Darin's phone fried this weekend... and Paige had a lazy/study Sunday - You get an old pic of us goofing off! Paige is studying hard because finals for her summer classes are right around the corner. Darin is working hard to keep the guilt of abandoning his cases at bay for the vacation. More fun and interesting stuff to come!
