Greetings!
Hi everyone! As you may have heard, we eloped on the day we wanted to get married, 9/19/20. We were back and forth until days before about postponing, but we did it. We had the best minimony (that's what they are now calling them) we could muster. Our big party will have to be postponed until the world is safe enough from the horrible Covid-19 pandemic. We have no idea when that will be, it's hard to plan for anything right now.
We did not intend to even ask for anything until the party, and especially during the pandemic. Eloping / having a minimony did not seem like it should have a registry, and we had no idea we could even pull off an elopement during the pandemic.... But many of you have asked about wedding gifts and some have already sent some! We appreciate the love.
Working backwards, by request, welcome to our we just got married honeyfund. Let's face it, the two of us 40+ year olds have enough stuff! In fact, we need to get rid of lots of stuff. Our whole house is filled with stuff. Every room is filled with stuff, stuff and more stuff. NO MORE STUFF! Instead, when we had the big wedding planned we were going to set up a honeyfund to help us go on our dream honeymoon to Bora Bora. Of course, now, that also has to wait until it is safer. Also, we are currently fixing up the house. So while we don't need stuff, we have a lot to do to fix up the place that houses our stuff. We are not expecting anything, but promise we will go on a honeymoon eventually!
We look forward to celebrating this great event in our lives with you. We think any couple in 2020 that had a canceled wedding, but still got married, should have a party! We were so excited for the wedding, and still are very excited for this new chapter in our lives.
